Starting by a 8cm x 8cm cube, I had a material typology assigned.
Studying the qualities if, in my case, metal, I had to develop an object with an intelligent function related to the material characteristics.
So I chose the flexibility and strength of metal and the capability to reflect the light, and I made a lamp.
The closed lamp is a metal cube 8x8 and it serves as packaging itself, as the lightbulb and the cable are pre-packed inside.
As one opens it, the lamp transform itself, like a flower, and the user can decide the best form.
The lamp can be hanged from the ceiling, on the wall, or just put on the table.
The light reflection can also be moderated: the user can decide to let more light out or to close the lamp and let less light come out.
